Gatherings

Gatherings and celebrations are frequent occurrences that include the social, cultural and religious lives amongst the South Asian community in Scotland. In this collection I try to capture bountiful and often colourful events from weddings, religious and social festivals.

Portraits

Over the past three decades, I have enjoyed meeting and compiling stories of hundreds of Broon Scots from all over the country. They are active members of Scottish society as academics, medical professionals, comedians and politicians along with the refreshing personalities that make-up the broader community including the Gaelic speaking Pakistani community in the Western Isles.

Monumental Connections

Over the years I have enjoyed photographing links between Scotland and the South Asian continent through architecture and place names. These monuments, statues and artefacts highlight some unknown connections and histories of empire scattered across the Scottish landscape.
