About

Broon Scots

Celebrating over 35 Years of Broon Scots. For three decades I've been meeting and recording the stories of Broon Scots across the country. They're academics shaping the next generation. Doctors on the front line. Comedians on stage. Politicians in parliament. Businesses that are the heartbeats of communities. And countless others whose warmth and humor make communities thrive. From city centres to island villages, including the unique Gaelic-speaking Pakistani community in the Western Isles, these are stories of belonging, identity, and contribution. This site brings those stories together — to honour the diversity within Scottish life and the people who call it home.
